The person behind it
Bianca builds things properly, or not at all.
Founder & lead consultant of She Leads Ventures. Restaurateur at 26, in the Financial Mail at 27, safari lodge manager in Tanzania, builder of learning platforms used across continents. And yes — a single mom, which is exactly why nothing on her watch gets half-done.
The story
Four careers. One standard.
Building visions into businesses that run
Today Bianca combines instructional design, AI-assisted production and hard-won commercial instinct: the EcoTraining online campus — the digital home of Africa's leading safari guide school — plus Inside the Pride with Dr Paul Funston, Junior Rangers, on-site guide training for A&K Sanctuary across Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana, Namibia and Zambia, and an AI-powered learning academy for a leading South African financial services group.
Five years in the wild places of Africa
As lodge managers with Sanctuary Retreats (Abercrombie & Kent) and Great Plains Conservation, Bianca and Ben ran luxury safari camps including Sanctuary Swala in Tanzania's Tarangire National Park — guiding environments from the Sabi Sands to the Serengeti and the Okavango. This is where world-class hospitality gets real: standards, storytelling and relentless attention to detail, delivered daily, off the grid.
Guests' TripAdvisor reviews from Swala describe the pair as masters at making people feel special without fuss — genuine, knowledgeable former rangers whose walking safaris were the highlight of the trip.
The restaurant, the pier, and the catwalk in the ocean
In her twenties, Bianca (then Bianca Erasmus) and her business partner became the first external shareholders of the moyo brand — opening moyo uShaka at Durban's uShaka Marine World and growing it through a recession. As operating partner of the pier and National Sales Executive, she helped take the 600-seater to R16 million in annual turnover and open the glass-encased pier bar reaching 150 metres into the sea — the first of its kind in the country. The pier is a Durban landmark to this day.
Featured in the Financial Mail, "Give me Moyo", November 2009 — the leading business magazine, at 27.
Fashion, television, and a line for dogs
Bianca's first venture: marketing lead and part-owner of fashion house Provocouture Creations. She got the brand onto live national television — 3Talk with Noeleen on SABC3 — into a monthly feature in Woman & Home, and, never one to waste anything, turned the design offcuts into a doggy-fashion line that found its way into Fairlady.

Where the standard was set
If the vision is bold, build the pier.
Fashion by the Sea — her brainchild.
Long before She Leads Ventures, Bianca dreamed up a fashion show on a catwalk reaching into the Indian Ocean — then connected the right people to make it real. Staged from the moyo uShaka pier, Fashion by the Sea put South Africa's top designers — Gavin Rajah among them — on a runway 12 metres over the water, where every single guest had a front-row seat. It grew into an annual Durban fashion event, with the second edition alone spanning six shows and fourteen designers.
That show is long past. But it set the standard everything since has been built to.
